Cheers and Jeers for July 28

Cheers: Cheers to the gentleman driving a blue half-tonne who paid for the breakfast of the person behind him in the McDonalds drive-thru last week.

Cheers to the gentleman driving a blue half-tonne who paid for the breakfast of the person behind him in the McDonalds drive-thru last week.

Cheers to Estevan Minor Baseball for doing such a great job of hosting the midget AAA baseball provincial tournament on the weekend. There was a lot of great baseball action.

Cheers to everyone who helped make the Victor Walk in Estevan such a huge success. It’s amazing it was the largest crowd they have ever had.

Cheers to the Estevan Play Parks for offering the pancakes and PJs Breakfast on Wednesday. All of the kids who were there seemed to have a great time.

Cheers to Bill Fraser and Heather McKenzie for creating the Locomotives of Bienfait documentary, and for raising funds to support the restoration of Locomotive 3522 in Bienfait.Ìý

Jeers:

Jeers to those who have nothing else to do but complain about the new driving lanes on King Street. They are yellow and white lines, how hard can they be to navigate?

Jeers to the reason(s) that we can't keep a good number of doctors in Estevan. We will never make a regional hospital status at this rate.

Jeers To the teenagers that hang out at the 7-11 on 13th Avenue almost every night with their cars. Some people struggle to pull out of parking spots and some people hate going to that store, even if it is convenient.

Jeers to people who walk their dogs on Souris Avenue and allow their dogs to do their business on city property. Let the dogs do it on their own yards.

Jeers to the provincial government for deciding to go with passing lanes instead of twinning for Highways 39 and 6. Those roads won’t get any safer.Ìý
