Cheers:
Cheers to Graham C., for all his hard work following the recent flooding, at all hours, for a whole week. He pumped water out of the rodeo grounds and behind Petterson Drive, so equestrian events could take place for the Summer Games, and kept water from seeping into basements.
Cheers to the organizers of the Pure Energy Show and Shine in downtown Estevan. It was great to see so many beautiful vehicles on display.
Cheers to everyone who showed up to help set up the bunk beds for the Games Village at the Estevan Comprehensive School. It went very quickly thanks to their efforts.
Cheers to the people who volunteered during the Estevan Golden Eels swim meet over the weekend. It’s an event that takes a lot of work to pull off.
Cheers to the athletes who will be representing our region during the upcoming Saskatchewan Summer Games.Ìý

Jeers:
Jeers to the Kensington Greens walking path and greenspace. It is an eyesore covered with weeds, foxtails, garbage and unfinished structures.
Jeers to the closure of the blood drawing lab in the St. Joseph’s Hospital primary health clinic. Nobody wants to walk down to the main laboratory in the middle of the hospital to get their blood taken.
Jeers to dangerous driver in the pickup truck who drove through a red light at the intersection of 13th Avenue and Eighth Street on Monday. The only excuse for such a flagrant disregard for everyone else is if you were headed to the hospital for an emergency.
Jeers to anyone who has actually complained about Estevan hosting the upcoming Saskatchewan Summer Games. It’ll be a great week for the city.
Jeers to those who attempted to scam others following the flash flood in Estevan this month. Hopefully those people left Estevan with nothing to show for their “efforts.â€
