Cheers to those who were working on Christmas Day, such as police officers, nurses and paramedics, who sacrificed time with their families to ensure that essential services were fulfilled.
Cheers to the City of Estevan鈥檚 leisure services division for organizing the Twinkle Skate before Christmas. Affinity Place looked great for all of the participants.
Cheers to Pete Sereggela with the Tower Caf茅 for preparing and serving the food for the Warm Welcome Kitchen鈥檚 Christmas Eve community supper, and for helping so many people have a good Christmas dinner and socializing.
Cheers to those who did their Boxing Day shopping locally, and supported businesses in the community rather than heading to Regina or Minot.
Cheers to everybody who has been 鈥減aying it forward鈥 and doing what they can to show generosity to others in the community in the past few weeks.
Cheers to seeing Santa Claus riding around Estevan on a motorcycle on Dec. 24. It鈥檚 great to see this annual tradition continue in the community.

Jeers to the people who complain about everything. Try having a positive attitude once in a while. You will feel so much better about yourself. And others will actually like to be around you.
Jeers to Oxbow Prairie Horizon School for their Christmas pageant this year. It鈥檚 great to encourage kids to recycle and be environmentally friendly, but it鈥檚 not a good idea to have a show that encourages people to turn off the pumps and leave the oil in the ground.听
