Cheers:

Cheers to McDonalds for bringing coffee and cookies to our business during a Friday afternoon coffee break.

Cheers to the Estevan Kinettes for handing out flowers at St. Joseph’s Hospital’s long-term care and the Estevan Regional Nursing Home on the weekend.

Cheers to Leisure Services for organizing a Pink Day Walk in Estevan. Hopefully, there will be a community walk later this year.

Cheers to everyone who supported the campaign to bring the CT scanner services to Estevan. It is a big addition to the community.

Cheers to the lady in front of me in the McDonald’s drive thru who bought my lunch. What a thoughtful gesture.

Jeers:

Jeers to the owner of a dark-coloured GMC Sierra four-by-four who occupied four parking spaces on the night of the Johnny Reid concert.

Jeers to people who chatted at the concert instead of enjoying it. We paid good money to listen to a great performer, not you. Next time stay home if you want to chat.

Jeers to certain businesses that are seemingly run by contract people who have offended many who use the facilities. It is unlikely these people will be back.

Jeers to people who don’t drive according to the conditions. Yes, the roads were icy. But you still have to drive smarter.

Jeers to the weather we have had this winter. Barring a late-winter snowstorm, there won’t be any opportunities to ride a snowmobile locally. Again.
