Cheers:
*Cheers to all of the candidates who ran in the recent provincial election. It was good to see several local candidates working hard throughout the campaign.
*Cheers to the award recipients at the Legion’s Vimy Night for their contributions to the Legion and the community as a whole.
*Cheers to the performers in the Estevan and District Music Festival who showcased their talents at the awards program on Tuesday night. They sounded great.
*Cheers to everybody who supported the Warm Welcome shelter in Estevan this year, and allowed this valuable program to keep operating.
*Cheers to the Estevan Strippers hockey club. Not only do they host a great tournament and fun cabarets, but they give back a lot of money to the community.

Jeers:
*Jeers to people who do not throw out their cigarette wrappers and other junk in the garbage can, especially when one is nearby.
*Jeers to the crews in a back alley who were cutting down trees or branches at 9 a.m. on Sunday morning. Please allow people to enjoy a morning coffee in peace on a day off.Ìý
*Jeers to the people who drive on the wrong side of the street to retrieve their mail. Would it really be too much effort to park properly and walk 25 feet? Don’t complain when you get a ticket.
*Jeers to motorists who think that traffic on Devonian Street has the right-of-way at the intersection of Kensington Avenue. It does not. Please yield the right-of-way.
*Jeers to the people who didn’t vote in the provincial election on Monday night. You have a democratic privilege that much of the world covets. Please use it.
