Cheers to the city employee who carried me in my wheelchair, down two flights of stairs, at the Leisure Centre when a fire alarm sounded. He didn't give me his name at the time. But the city should look into a ramp or other device so handicapped people have a way out.

Cheers to the organizers of the B&T Gun Show in Estevan this past weekend. Guns serve a variety of roles, and it鈥檚 good to see the proceeds are turned over to a couple of deserving causes.

Jeers to the development on the northwest edge of town, where provincially noxious weeds have been allowed to flourish uncontrolled on the saline subsoils. They end up blowing into neighbouring yards, spreading their seeds and making a mess.

Jeers to the design of Estevan鈥檚 sidewalks. Why do some of them stop halfway through a block with nothing on the other side of the street? Where are our young children supposed to walk on the road? Many sidewalks are crumbled and heaved, too.

Jeers to businesses that do not give fair exchange for a American money. To give nothing is a rip-off for customers.

Jeers to Perkins Street being part of the truck route in Estevan. Trucks should not be allowed on Perkins from Kensington Avenue to Souris Avenue 麻豆视频, and the police should issue tickets to truckers using this street.

Jeers to the lack of proper 鈥淭ruck Route鈥� signs at both entrances to the truck bypass. Because of this oversight many truckers not aware of the new bypass, and continue to use the old truck route through Estevan.
听
Jeers to the state of Highway 18 between Estevan and Oungre. It鈥檚 been a mess for years, and it鈥檚 not getting any better. This is one of the roads that should be nominated for the Saskatchewan鈥檚 Worst Highway Contest.
