Cheers:
Cheers to everyone who has shown support in some way, shape or form for the Humboldt Broncos and the people of Humboldt following last week’s bus tragedy.
Cheers to the City of Estevan for hosting the vigil last week at the multi-purpose room. It was nice to have a chance to come together to grieve.
Cheers to the local army cadets and the legion for marking the 101st anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge. It’s good to see young people learning about our nation’s history.
Cheers to all of the talented musicians who were part of this year’s Estevan and District Music Festival. Some of them have a very bright future.
Cheers to all of the nominees for this year’s Quota International of Estevan Women of Today Awards. It will be tough to pick winners in those categories.

Jeers:
Jeers to Estevan city council for their lack of effort to make the infrastructure fee increase fair and equitable for all Estevan properties. Estevan residents expect fair treatment for all.
Jeers to the driver of the black pickup truck who sped through the intersection of Souris Avenue Â鶹ÊÓƵ and Fourth Street on Wednesday morning.
Jeers to the heavy truck drivers who are still driving through Estevan. It’s understandable if they have a reason to be cutting through the city, but the rest should be sticking to the bypass. Ìý
Jeers to the end for the provincial sales tax exemption on used vehicles. Hopefully the government will backtrack on this decision.
Jeers to those who have been responsible for vehicle thefts in Estevan this year. It causes people to feel less secure with their belongings.Ìý
