Ìý

Cheers to the city for doing their due diligence and allowing a third party to close the Civic Auditorium, and not them. Now it’s time to build a field house.

Ìý

Cheers to the upcoming grand opening for the new fire hall, and all the good things that have happened since the fire department moved into the new building.

Ìý

Cheers to the grocery stores who have their flyers in the newspaper. A lot of people really appreciate seeing them.

Ìý

Cheers to the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins and the Estevan Art Gallery and Museum for teaming up for the T-Shirts with the Team activity. It looked like the kids and players were having a lot of fun.

Jeers:

Ìý

Jeers to the demise of the Civic Auditorium. It’s too bad the insurance provider couldn’t provide the necessary coverage to allow the Civic to remain open.

Ìý

Jeers to the ice that covers parking lots, making non-vehicle Ìýtravel extremely dangerous.

Ìý

Jeers to those folks who insist on using the middle yellow line as a place to drive. Keep to the right of the yellow line.

Ìý

Jeers to those who still haven’t figured out how to manoeuver through King Street, even though the realignment was finished six months ago.

Ìý

Jeers to all the scammers who called local residents. Police received more than 2,000 calls regarding these scams last year. And only a fraction of those scam calls are reported to police.
