An interview with Constable Alexa Dubeau

听 鈥淲hile passing emergency vehicles please remain at 60 km. During my police training, they said that the most dangerous thing I will do is a traffic stop on a highway. It鈥檚 a safety concern and every ones鈥 life is important,鈥 said Dubeau.

听听听听听听听听听听听 The Carlyle RCMP detachment responded to several calls to service from Thursday, August 2 to the morning of Thursday, August 9.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Assault calls

听听听听听听听听听听听 There were two assault calls in the Carlyle area, and one in Carlyle, charges laid in all three cases case.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Mischief

听听听听听听听听听听听 There were three counts of mischief. One was an attempted break and enter in the Carlyle Area, fingerprints were found and tested by mobile unit, and it is still under investigation. There was a second mischief responded to in the area of intoxication in public, and a third call in the area that resulted in a charge for mischief and assaulting a police officer.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Failure to comply with undertaking

听听听听听听听听听听听 Two individuals failed to comply with court ordered terms that had been laid out, both were charged.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Disturbing the peace

听听听听听听听听听听听 One call in the Carlyle area is still under investigation.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Theft under 5000

听听听听听听听听听听听 A wallet containing 400.00 in checks and cash was stolen from a vehicle, if anyone has information they are asked to phone police.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Impaired Driving

听听听听听听听听听听听 Four impaired driving calls were made, one was drug related and marijuana was seized, one charge was laid.

听听听听听听听听听听听 听There were 13 vehicle fines laid for speeding and not obeying stop signs. The police also issued 6 warnings for tinted windows, failure to come to complete stop, and non excessive speed limits.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Fire Response

听听听听听听听听听听听 A call was responded to in Carlyle at the lumber yard to a fire in the attic. The structure of the building was not harmed and the fire caused little damage and was caught in time.
