ESTEVAN - There has been another significant drop in the number of active COVID-19 cases in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, according to the daily figures supplied by the Saskatchewan Health Authority on Aug. 17 on the COVID-19 dashboard.
There were 38 active cases in Zone 4, down from 46 on Aug. 16, which means there were eight recoveries in the area. For the second consecutive day, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ East Zone 4 didn’t report any new cases.
As for the rest of the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ East, there are two new cases in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ East Zone 2, which is north of Zone 4.
There are now 76 active cases in the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ East region. Two people are in hospital in the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ East; both are receiving inpatient care. And another 11 people in the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ East have recovered.
A total of 44 COVID-19 tests were processed in the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ East on Aug. 16.
And another 55 doses of vaccine have been administered, bringing the total number of doses to 97,718. A total of 46,045 people in the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ East are now fully vaccinated.
