Saskatchewan Country Music Awards announces 2013 nominees

The official countdown for the 2013 Saskatchewan Country Music Awards & Country Music Festival has begun, as the Saskatchewan Country Music Association (SCMA) has announced its nominees.

Radville rising star Lexie Tytlandsvik has been nominated for Artist of the Year and Song of the Year in the Saskatchewan Country Music Association's upcoming awards.

The official countdown for the 2013 Saskatchewan Country Music Awards & Country Music Festival has begun, as the Saskatchewan Country Music Association (SCMA) has announced its nominees.

Lexie Tytlandsvik from Radville has been nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year and her single, 'What a Shame' has been nominated for Song of the Year.

Prince Albert's Donny Parenteau who was just nominated for his third Juno Award leads the way with 10 nominations, while Blake Berglund who's originally from Kennedy, SK follows with seven.

Rounding out the top nominees with five nods each are two-time Canadian Country Music Award nominee Codie Prevost, Jay Semko who was recently inducted into the Western Canadian Music Hall of Fame with The Northern Pikes, Samara Yung who took home two SCMA Awards last year, and Will Ardell who released his debut album last year.
