SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN - A man who has pleaded guilty to multiple thefts in the southeast this year is being held in custody following his latest arrest.

Orrie David Connor Flatfoot, 22, was arrested by the Estevan Police Service following the theft of a bicycle on April 25. According to the EPS, its members received a report of a theft of a bicycle from outside a local business. The owner left the bike unattended to enter the business to make a purchase, and came out minutes later to find the bike was gone.

Police located the individual responsible shortly thereafter as he was spray painting the bike in what the EPS said was an effort to disguise it. Flatfoot was arrested and remanded in custody to appear in Estevan Provincial Court on charges of theft, mischief and failing to comply with a probation order.

He was remanded into custody for a court appearance April 28 in Estevan Provincial Court and then a show-cause hearing two days later in Weyburn Provincial Court. He was denied bail and will be in Estevan court on May 5.

Background: Flatfoot was placed on probation for 15 months on April 3 after pleading guilty to mischief, thefts and other infractions that occurred in Estevan. After Flatfoot was released on probation April 3, he went into a building and stole a hockey jersey. He was arrested after committing two other thefts on April 8.

Flatfoot, age 22, pleaded guilty to three counts of theft under $5,000, and one count each of breaching a curfew and breaching a probation order, during a video appearance in Estevan Provincial Court on April 21. He was sentenced to time served and his probation continued.
