SASKATOON - One man was arrested following an assault yesterday afternoon.
At around 3:30 p.m. on May 29, police were called to a residence in the 500 block of Avenue H Â鶹ÊÓƵ for a report of an assault-in-progress. Upon arrival, officers located the victim outside with non-life-threatening injuries. Further investigation found that the victim had been struck several times with a cane by a person known to them. The suspect was located inside the residence and arrested without incident.
As a result, a 59-year-old man has been charged with assault with a weapon.
