Transit detours start May 12 for Broadway Bridge rehabilitation

The project, which is expected to continue for approximately six months, will coincide with the start of construction for four new station platforms on Broadway Avenue as part of the upcoming rapid transit system.

Bus stops on Broadway Avenue, between 12th and 8th Streets, will be temporarily relocated to Victoria Avenue with new short-term signage. Two downtown stops on 19th Street near the Broadway Bridge will also close. Closed bus stops will direct riders to nearby stops for eastbound or westbound travel.

Saskatoon Transit routes to and from downtown will use Victoria Avenue and the Traffic Bridge.

  • Westbound Service: Routes 8 and the Osk膩yak High School Route.
  • Eastbound Service: Routes 81, 82, 84, 86.

As a reminder, the four temporary stops on Victoria Avenue will have parking restrictions limited to the areas necessary for bus stop placement, approximately 25 meters per stop.
