Suspects with axes reportedly smash up display cases in mall

On June 4, police were called to a business within a mall in the 3500 block of 8th Street East for a report of an armed robbery.

SASKATOON - Police are investigating following an armed robbery at a mall yesterday afternoon.

Shortly before 2 p.m. on June 4, police were called to a business within a mall in the 3500 block of 8th Street East for a report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned that two masked men carrying bags entered the mall armed with axes and proceeded directly to a business within; they then smashed multiple display cases and stole several items before fleeing the area.

The suspects have not been located; however, police are continuing to investigate.
