Sixteen-year-old youth stabbed in Saskatoon robbery

SASKATOON - A 20-year-old Saskatoon woman is facing charges following a robbery and stabbing that occurred over the weekend.

At approximately 2 p.m., July 5, police were called to the 400 block of Pendygrasse Road. 

A 16-year-old girl reported that she had been walking in a nearby park when she was approached by a woman who demanded her cell phone and then stabbed her.  A witness was able to direct officers to the suspect, who was still in the park. She was arrested without incident. The victim was transported to hospital with what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries. 

The woman is now facing charges of robbery, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.
