SASKATOON — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying three persons of interest following a violent assault earlier this month that left a man with multiple stab wounds.
Officers were called to the area of SecoPolice seek public help to ID three men linked to a stabbing and bear spray assault early morning May 3 near 2nd Ave S and 20th St E.nd Avenue Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ and 20th Street East at approximately 3:45 a.m. on May 3 for a report of an injured person. They arrived to find a man suffering from stab wounds and the effects of bear spray.
The victim told police he was walking in the area when several unknown individuals approached and attacked him. He was taken to hospital by paramedics. His injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
Saskatoon Police Service’s Serious Assault Unit has since reviewed surveillance footage and identified three persons of interest in the case:
- An adult male, about 5'8", wearing a black hat, black jacket with white sleeves and black symbols, light purple hoodie, black sweatpants with a logo on the left thigh, black shoes, carrying a backpack and walking a mountain bike.
- An adult male, about 6'0", wearing a black hat with a white logo, black jacket, white hoodie with a large red logo, black pants, and white Nike shoes with mismatched laces — one white and one black.
- An adult male wearing a black hat, black jacket with a white pattern, white shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, and a black backpack.
Investigators are also looking to speak with the driver of a white Toyota Tundra who the victim approached to call police. Officers believe the driver may have witnessed the incident or possess video footage that could aid the investigation.
