Police search for suspects after bear spray discharged

At around 10:15 p.m. on June 16, police were called to the 300 block of Avenue Q Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ for a report of a male youth being bear sprayed.

Police are investigating two incidents of bear spray being discharged.

SASKATOON - Police are investigating following incidents of bear spray being discharged in the city.

At around 10:15 p.m. on June 16, police were called to the 300 block of Avenue Q Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ for a report of a male youth being bear sprayed. Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim had been bear sprayed by a group of youth in the alley; he was decontaminated by paramedics and released. The suspects fled the area prior to police arrival.

At around 12:15 a.m. on June 17, police were called to the 100 block of Nelson Road for a report of an injured person. Upon arrival to the area, officers located the youth victim suffering from the effects of bear spray. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival and was not believed to be known to the victim. The victim was decontaminated by paramedics and released.
