Update: Traffic restrictions now lifted after Saskatoon collision

Traffic restrictions were in place at the intersection, and motorists were advised to find alternate routes for a few hours.

SASKATOON - Update, May 07, 12:05 p.m.: Traffic restrictions have been lifted at the scene of an earlier hit and run on May 7 at the intersection of 24th Street East and 1st Avenue North. 

Police say the investigation is ongoing and more information will be provided when available. 

Original post, May 7, 8:43 a.m.: The Saskatoon Police Collision Analyst Unit is on the scene investigating a hit and run collision at the intersection of 24th Street East and 1st Avenue North. 

Traffic restrictions are in place at the intersection and motorists are advised to find alternate routes for the next few hours. 

A male has been transported to hospital; the extent of his injuries are not known at this time.
