SASKATOON — The 23rd annual Dogs' Breakfast kicked off with a full house at the Staybridge Suites and Holiday Inn Express University, drawing a crowd of 1,300 fans and supporters to celebrate Huskie Football and raise funds for student-athletes.

Held on May 2, the event was headlined by special guest Luke Willson, a Super Bowl champion and NFL analyst. Willson’s humour and insight brought added energy to a morning already buzzing with excitement.

The breakfast, organized by the Huskie Football Foundation, raised more than $110,000 in support of student-athlete development. In addition, a $300,000 donation from the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation was presented to Huskie Football during the event — a contribution organizers say will significantly boost programming and athlete success both on and off the field.

A 50/50 draw saw ticket number #SR2-116424 win half of the $20,043 pot, taking home $10,021.50.

The breakfast also marked the official welcome of the 2025 Huskie Football recruits and fuelled anticipation for the upcoming season. Organizers thanked the community for its continued support and encouraged fans to mark their calendars for next year’s event, set for April 30, 2026, at Prairieland Park.
