Conducted energy weapon, imitation firearm seized following investigation

At around 7 p.m. on April 30, police were called to an establishment in the 400 block of 22nd Street West for a report of a man in possession of a firearm.

SASKATOON - One man was arrested following a report of a person in possession of a firearm yesterday.

At around 7 p.m. on April 30, police were called to an establishment in the 400 block of 22nd Street West for a report of a man in possession of a firearm.

Upon arrival, officers located the man sitting with what was later determined to be an imitation firearm on the table next to him. He was arrested without incident and also found to be in possession of a conducted energy weapon.

As a result, the 26-year-old man was charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace (x2) and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.
