REGINA — The City of Regina is encouraging feedback for its Urban Forest Management Plan (UFMP).
The plan is a guide for how the city will take care of trees for the next 15 years.
These include trees, plants, soils and natural areas found across the city.
The city’s urban forest plays a role in cooling neighbourhoods, enhancing public spaces, and supporting community well-being, with over 550,000 trees planted across Regina.
With urban growth, extreme weather and pests, the city said now is the time for a new plan.
