FORT QU'APPELLE — A Regina area man is dead after a two-vehicle collision near Fort Qu'Appelle.
On June 30 around 11:30 p.m. White Butte and Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 10 approximately 34 kilometres southwest of Fort Qu’Appelle.
A semi truck traveling towards Regina and hauling hay and a pickup truck traveling northeast collided in the roadway.
The lone driver of the pickup truck, a 45-year-old man from the Regina area, died at the scene. The lone adult male driver of the semi did not report any injuries to police.
Both detachments continue to investigate with the assistance of RCMP Collision Reconstruction. Highway 10 was blocked for several hours through the night while investigators were on scene; it has since re-opened. EMS and fire services from Fort Qu’Appelle provided response at the scene, as did STARS.
