RCMP ask for help finding missing woman from Ahtahkakoop FN

RCMP are searching for Sherry Michelle Ahenakew, last seen June 4 near Ahtahkakoop First Nation, possibly in Big River or Whitefish FN.

RCMP are asking the public for help locating 30-year-old Sherry Michelle Ahenakew, last seen June 4.

AHTAHKAKOOP FIRST NATION — Ahtahkakoop RCMP are continuing their search for a woman last seen on Big River First Nation on June 5.

Police received the report of the missing woman, 40-year-old Sherry Michelle Ahenakew, who goes by her middle name Michelle, on the morning of June 12.

Ahenakew was last seen around mid-day on June 5. She is described as 5-foot-5, 150 pounds, with long brown hair and brown eyes. She has a scar above her left eye.

RCMP say Ahenakew is known to travel to Saskatoon, Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation and Shell Lake.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP by calling 310-RCMP.  Anonymous information can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
