We read that this area must provide $8 million for furnishings for the new Saskatchewan Hospital, which is essentially a provincial facility. We are reminded that local jobs will be created which will, we are told, benefit the local economy in years to come.
However, we seem to be continually asked to fund this, that and the next thing, even for things that surely should be paid for through our taxes.
I think it is not unreasonable to ask this paper to provide us with a complete breakdown of the contractual agreements entered into for the construction of this facility, illustrating how local businesses have so far benefited from the millions being spent.
