For the second straight year, the Battlefords North Stars have won the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League's Finning Division
The North Stars, who also lead the SJHL at the moment with a 37-8-1-0 record, officially clinched the title for a second straight year as a result of the Humboldt Broncos' 4-3 loss on the road to Kindersley Klippers Wednesday night.
With 12 games left in their regular season schedule, the North Stars hold a 24 point cushion over the Broncos.
The North Stars, who hold an eight-point lead over the Flin Flon Bombers for the top spot in the league standings, will be back in action at the Civic Centre Friday night against the La Ronge Ice Wolves.
