The Battlefords 50s hockey club will be hosting their 34th annual old timer's tournament this weekend The tournament kicks off March 7 at 6 p.m. with the Battlefords 50s taking on the Kitscoty Nite Hawks at the Don Ross Centre. The North Battleford No Stars come up against the Leduc Rusty Blades at the Civic Centre.
The 14-team tournament attracts participants from throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta. The Saturday night dine and dance includes a fundraising initiative with prizes donated by local businesses. This year's proceeds are going toward the Battlefords Trade and Education Centre building fund.
