TISDALE β Two youth are in custody, following a break and enter into a Tisdale convenience store.
The incident took place when the business was closed on Feb. 5, with stolen items including cigarettes and candy.
The majority of the stolen items have been recovered.
The investigation is ongoing.
The Tisdale RCMP responded to 105 calls for service from Jan. 1 to Feb. 5, with 56 calls for service in the Town of Tisdale. This number doesnβt include traffic offenses.
Among them include one investigation involving threats and an assault; 13 complaints of mischief; another break and enter, which was deemed unfounded; theft and position of stolen property; three complains of other criminal code offenses; a collision; four calls under the Mental Health Act; and a sudden death ruled non-suspicious.
According to Cpl. Mike Benjamin with the Tisdale RCMP, the detachment has currently reached full staffing levels.
βCurrently Tisdale detachment is up to strength,β Benjamin said. βThat is definitely a plus side for us.β
Tisdale court continues to be closed due to the ongoing pandemic, with all legal cases redirected to Melfort Provincial Court.
