TISDALE — The Tisdale RCMP is asking for assistance to find an individual connected to a break and enter at the Shell Gas Station in town where liquor was stolen.
The incident is believed to have occurred between May 1 at 11:30 p.m. and May 2 around 1 a.m.
The lone man who entered is seen wearing a white sweater with a black design on the sleeves and a hat. The RCMP believe that a red Chevrolet Silverado which had been reported stolen may be involved with this incident.
Anyone with information pertaining to the break and enter is asked to call 310-RCMP for an immediate response.
The break and enter was discussed during the RCMP’s report to Tisdale council at their regular meeting on May 10.
While responding to the call on May 2, RCMP officers received an OnStar report of a stolen truck within town from the Rose Valley area.
The officers responded, finding the truck driven into the sewage lagoon.
RCMP drivers came and retrieved the vehicle, which had its hard drives removed and is being reviewed by the technology crime unit out of Regina.
“We don’t think it’s connected to the Shell gas station because we have the other truck,” said Sgt. Wanita Minty, with the Tisdale RCMP.
“We can’t seem to find a connection why it’s in the sewage lagoon.”
Not including traffic numbers, for the month of April the Tisdale RCMP responded to 51 calls for service in the town, and 112 calls for service within the service area.
This include a report of an unlocated man urinating at the gas pumps at Beeland Co-op; a TV thrown through a window at a residence who chose not to press charges; a gas and dash from an out-of-province vehicle at the Beeland Co-op; a domestic assault report; report of a stolen vehicle that was later recovered; and a report relating to an intoxicated woman who was trying to enter a house but was arrested and later released with the residence not pressing charges.
