UPDATE: Creedance Stone, 23, is facing five counts of pointing a firearm, flight from police, resisting arrest and possession of a firearm in a vehicle.
Stone was also wanted on a separate matter involving a firearm from June 6 on Red Pheasant First Nation.Ìý He remains in custody and appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on June 17.ÌýResults from court were unavailable at press time.
ÌýCharges against the two women taken into custody during this incident are still pending and the investigation is ongoing.Three people are in custody after an incident overnight requiring a varied response by RCMP.
Battlefords RCMP responded to a report of a male pointing a firearm at another individual in the area of the 1300 block of 110thÌýStreet in North Battleford at approximately 9 p.m. on Monday, June 14.
The suspect vehicle was located byÌýpolice a short time later and a traffic stop was attempted but the vehicle fled from police.ÌýThe suspect vehicle was pursued to Highway 4 and Willowmore Road, where it entered the ditch. Three persons exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
Two adult females were quickly arrested and taken into custody, officers witnessed a male enter a wooded area carrying a firearm.ÌýThe area was contained and assistance was attained from the Police Dog Unit, Saskatoon Police Service’s Air Unit and the Saskatchewan RCMP Emergency Response Team.
TheÌýadult male was located and taken into custody at approximately 3 a.m. and a firearm was recovered at the time of arrest.
At this time, all three persons remain in custody and the investigation in still ongoing.ÌýA decision on charges has yet to be determined.ÌýFurther updates will be provided as they become available.
