May 17 local COVID-19 report: 21 new in Central East, 1 new in North East

For May 17, the provincial government is reporting 21 new COVID cases in the Central East zone and 1 new case in the North East zone.

There are 68 active cases and 9 new cases in the Kelvington-Punnichy area (Central East 2), 23 active cases and 2 new cases in the Humboldt area (Central East 1), 12 active cases and 1 new case in the Melfort area (North East 2), 12 active cases and 0 new cases in the Tisdale-Hudson Bay area (North East 3), and 5 active cases and 0 new cases in the Nipawin area (North East 1).

In the past three days, the province has admnistered 627 vaccine doses in the Central East and 149 doses in the North East.

There are 4 people receiving inpatient care in the Central East, and 0 in the North East. There is 1 person  receiving inpatient care in the Central East, and 0 in the North East.

As for variants, there is 1 active P.1 Brazilian case in the Central East and 1 active P.1 Brazilian case in the North East.
