The province has reported a single death in the North East zone.
Provincial health officials said June 15 the person was in theÌý70 to 79 age group.
As well, the province reported two cases of Delta variant COVID-19 in the North East zone. Federal health officials have said there's evidence that Delta is more transmissible than basic COVID-19, adding that one dose of a vaccine does provide some protection against Delta, but not as much as two doses.
A first dose Moderna vaccine walk-in clinic is set to be held in Humboldt on Saturday, June 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It will be at the Uniplex'sÌýJubilee Hall.
