HUMBOLDT β€” The Humboldt Fire Department fought a fire in a motorhome parked on an empty lot on Sixth Avenue between 12th Street and 13th Street.

Twelve fire department members responded around 12:14 p.m. on April 30, finding the motorhome fully engulfed in flames, Mike Kwasnica, Humboldt’s fire chief, said in an email.

β€œThe owner was present and was doing maintenance on the unit when the fire started,” he said. β€œThe fire is not suspicious, but the cause is currently under investigation.”

Some damage was caused to a telecommunication pole and equipment located nearby. The fire chief said the motorhome was a total loss.

The Fire Department left the scene at 1:52 p.m.
