Hoback to serve as shadow minister for international trade

PRINCE ALBERT RIDING — A local MP will serve as shadow minister for international trade and supply chain resilience.

"I am very honoured to be appointed shadow minister for international trade and supply chain resilience by [opposition leader Erin O'Toole]. This file is of the utmost importance to Canadian producers and manufacturers, as well as to Canadian consumers," .

"I look forward to working with Canadian stakeholders, as well as holding the Hon. [Mary Ng, minister of international trade] to account, to ensure the interests of Canadians are at the forefront."

O’Toole announced his shadow cabinet appointments Nov. 9. 

Other appointments from Saskatchewan include former leader Andrew Scheer as shadow minister for infrastructure and communities, Regina MP Warren Steinley as shadow minister for prairie economic development and inter-provincial trade and Gary Vidal of Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River as shadow minister for Crown-Indigenous relations.

Other notable moves were the reinstatement of Pierre Poilievre to Finance critic, and Ed Fast to Innovation, Science and Industry, as well as the move of Luc Berthold to Health and Michelle Rempel Garner to Natural Resources.
