Active cases in subzone containing Humboldt decreasing, but still high

As of Oct. 1, there are 110 active cases in the subzone that contains Humboldt, a decrease from the 141-case record set on Sept. 24.

As of Oct. 1, there are 110 active cases of coronavirus in Central East 1, a decrease from the 141-case record set on Sept. 24.

HUMBOLDT — Active COVID-19 cases in the Central East 1 subzone have seen a dip from last week, but are still much higher than March, which boasted the record until September.

As of Oct. 1, there are 110 active cases in the subzone that contains Humboldt, a decrease from the 141-case record set on Sept. 24.

Before Sept. 11, the record was 50 cases, set on March 2.

There are nine new cases as of Oct. 1. The record is 26, set on Sept. 22.

 

For the entire Central Zone zone, which also contains Yorkton and Meville, there are 405 detected active cases of the alpha variant, 140 of delta, and five of gamma. 

There are six people in the intensive care unit.

Province-wide, there are 470 new cases. Of those, 385 were unvaccinated, 19 had only one dose (or had their second less than 14 days ago), and 66 were fully vaccinated.
