SaskExpress brings summer tour to northern provincial parks

SaskExpress is bringing its high-energy musical, Lost in a Musical, to Greenwater Lake Provincial Park on July 5 as part of its summer park tour.

GREENWATER — Greenwater Lake Provincial Park will host the popular performance group SaskExpress on July 5 as part of their summer tour. 

SaskExpress’s new production, Lost in a Musical, will be featured during a five-park tour across Saskatchewan.

Lakegoers are invited to join the SaskExpress cast for a free “Workshop in the Park” from 2 to 3:30 p.m. before each performance. Participants will have the chance to learn a song and dance to perform with the cast during the evening show, which runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. 

The tour dates and locations are as follows: 

  • July 4 — Duck Mountain Provincial Park 

  • July 5 — Greenwater Lake Provincial Park 

  • July 6 — Rowan’s Ravine Provincial Park 

  • July 11 — Great Blue Heron Provincial Park 

  • July 12 — Good Spirit Lake Provincial Park 

  • July 13 — Pike Lake Provincial Park 

SaskExpress, originally founded as Saskatchewan Express in 1980 by Carol Gay Bell, is a well-known musical theatre group based in Saskatchewan. 

“Our performers come from all parts of Saskatchewan—from the smallest communities to major centres. Many former SaskExpress performers have gone on to professional careers in entertainment around the world, including Broadway, cruise ships, touring shows, stage productions, as well as appearances in films, television and recordings,” according to SaskExpress. “SaskExpress is proud to be a musical ambassador for this province and has performed across Saskatchewan, throughout Canada, and in the United States.”
