Cut Knife Report- June 23 - 29
The Cut Knife RCMP received calls for 77 services between June 23 to 29. These files included well-being checks, reports of traffic offences, mischiefs, assaults, break and enters, breach of peace, failure to comply with orders, Mental Health Act, suspicious persons, missing person, thefts, Liquor Act, assisting other agencies, uttering threats, 911 Act and the Firearms Act.
Notable files include:
On June 23, a 1983 orange Honda Z50 minibike was reported stolen from a garage near Steele Street in Cut Knife. The theft occurred between 6 and 6:30 p.m. Investigation is ongoing.
Mail Misstep: On June 26, a 55-year-old individual attempted to forcibly access a mailbox at the Cut Knife Canada Post without a key. No damage was reported and the individual was issued a warning.
ATV Awareness: Also on June 26, a 38-year-old male was warned for operating an ATV without a valid driver’s licence, helmet or eye protection.
A report of a low-flying aircraft over Neilburg on June 26 was forwarded to Transport Canada for further review under aviation regulations.
Fourteen traffic stops were conducted, resulting in a mix of speeding tickets, warnings, a roadside suspension, a traffic collision response, and one impaired driving case. Members responded to seven alarms and three Mental Health Acts.

Members attended the Father’s Day pancake breakfast at Little Pine First Nation on June 23.
Youth Night at Poundmaker Cree Nation: RCMP members gave a short presentation and joined in a game of soccer with local youth on June 26.
Ride-Along Program: One community member participated in a ride-along with RCMP this week, offering a firsthand look at daily policing duties.
Unity Report – June 24 - 30
RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.
A 60-day roadside suspension was issued during a traffic stop.
Police received a complaint of disturbing the peace. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning.
Members spoke to an individual regarding a child welfare concern.
RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.
Police received a report of a fire at an abandoned rural farm. The fire was extinguished by Luseland Fire Department and was not suspicious in nature.
Members received a complaint of a break and enter at an oil site. This matter is still under investigation.
A 28-year-old female from Poundmaker First Nation was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle during a traffic stop.
RCMP received a complaint of theft, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
There were also two false 911 calls, one traffic complaint and one false alarm.
Wilkie Report
RCMP received a complaint of trespassing. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.
Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.
Members received a request to assist Emergency Medical Services with a patient.
RCMP received a complaint of an individual loitering near a residence. Members patrolled but could not locate the subject of complaint.
Police received a report of badgers in Wilkie. The complainant was referred to the Town of Wilkie.
Members received a complaint of uttering threats. Reported for information purposes.
RCMP received another complaint of uttering threats. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning. The complainant requested no further action be taken.
There was also one traffic complaint and one false alarm.
Macklin Report
RCMP received a complaint of an individual damaging a vehicle but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a complaint of fraud. This matter is still under investigation.
There were also two traffic complaints and one false alarm.
