Despite bitter temperatures and biting winds Friday afternoon, dozens turned out for the latest Idle No More rally including this member of the Buffalo Lodge Singers who prepares for the protest by being blessed with guidance and protection with sweetgrass and prayers. The group, aided by RCMP officers who blocked side roads and the westbound lane of Broadway Street, marched from the Howard Johnson Hotel to the Yorkton Tribal Council offices on Fifth Avenue.Staff Photo by Thom Barker
