Richard (Dick) Weisgerber April 28, 1946 - February 26, 2012 It is with heavy hearts we tell you that Richard passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the age of 65 years. Dick was born in Regina on April 28, 1946 to Elizabeth and Christian Weisgerber. On October 12, 1984, Dick married Joanne (nee Ganje) and from this wonderful union had two great children, Stephen and Stephanie. Dick was a loving and great husband and father. He loved to tease and laugh. He was a very kind, generous, soft spoken and hard-working man. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and co-workers. Dick's entire career was spent working in the field of insurance beginning with SGI and dedicating over 37 years as an insurance broker with Western Financial Group, formerly Border Bannatyne Insurance in Estevan. He was very dedicated to his job where he worked tirelessly to serve his clients. Dick is survived and cherished by loving his family members; his wife, Joanne; son, Stephen and daughter, Stephanie; siblings: Chris (Rosemary), Evelyn (Fred) Weekes, Carey (Allan) Furey, Mike (Pat), Gloria (Leon) Wollbaum; mother-in-law, Bella Ganje; brothers-in-law, Darcy (Mary Jane) Ganje, David (Cheryl) Ganje; sister-in-law, Mona Ganje; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dick was predeceased by his parents, Christian and Elizabeth Weisgerber; father-in-law, Michael Ganje and brother-in-law, Les Ganje. Prayers were held at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Estevan on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. with Mr. Doug Third as Officiant. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Estevan with Celebrant Rev. Joel Rama, Concelebrants Rev. Peter Nijssen, Rev. Thomas Mutavanattu and Rev. Stephen Bill. Those wishing to do so may make donations in Richard's memory to the New Estevan Regional Nursing Home, 1201 - 2nd Street, Estevan, SK S4A 0M1 or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 - 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Thank You Joanne, Stephen, Stephanie and family would like to thank all the friends and family for their prayers, visits, cards, gifts of food, friendship, flowers and donations. Joanne would like to thank the Paramedics, Estevan City Police, and those family and friends who came to comfort that afternoon. Thank you to Doug Third for leading the prayer service. Thank you to Rev. Joel Rama, Rev. Peter Nijssen, Rev. Thomas Mutavanattu and Rev. Stephen Bill for officiating the funeral. Special thanks to the Knights of Columbus, Sandra, Stacy and Mary Ellen who sang like angels at the Mass, the CWL ladies who prepared and served the lovely lunch. Special thanks also to Dustin who sang beautifully at the prayers and Mass and to Hall Funeral Services for their compassion and professionalism. Thank you!
