An event that has become an annual staple of the Battlefords is the Battleford Historic Opera House Gallery fundraiser featuring Saskatoon Opera. Held Saturday at the Dekker Centre in North Battleford, the show saw Opera House board chair Chris Odishaw (right) join the cast on stage for introductions. Proceeds from the event will go toward the restoration of the Opera House in Battleford’s Town Hall building and the addition of a tower to access and enhance it. The project is tied in with the renovation of the main floor of Town Hall and Odishaw told the audience he is excited that the project is now in the final design stage.Photos by Jayne Foster
