Living Sky School Division and Skills Canada Saskatchewan held their second annual Cardboard Boat Race Challenge Wednesday afternoon. Grade 8 students from Major School, Luseland School, Spiritwood High School, Maymont Central School, Cut Knife Elementary School, Phoenix School and Heritage Christian School turned the Northland Power Curling Centre into a construction zone as they built their cardboard boats. The 126 participants applied skills learned in math and science such as scaling and buoyancy to bring their designs from the page into reality.Photo by Brett Smith
