Anton "Tony" Fedyk June 4, 1927 - February 8, 2014 It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my dear husband, Tony, on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at the Estevan Regional Nursing Home. Tony was born on June 4, 1927, to Peter and Teni (Masiak) Fedyk. They lived on a farm north west of Frobisher, known as the Harry Brandon farm. To this union was born one daughter, Mary and four sons, William (died at birth), Tony, Steve, and John. Tony's father passed away at a young age of forty eight, leaving Tony at the age of fourteen to help support his mother and young family who were left. Tony worked for the City of Estevan, also Breeze Dairy farm, then as a farm hand at numerous farms in the Frobisher area. In 1954, he was employed by Hamill and Goodwin Lumber Yard in Frobisher until he started his own trucking business in 1964 known as Tony's Cattle Taxi. Tony loved playing hockey as a young man and attended many Estevan Bruin hockey games as well as never wishing to miss any NHL games on T.V. Tony and Mary were married on October 5, 1957 and lived in their cosy home in Frobisher until moving to Estevan in June 2010. Tony and Mary spent many summer months of each year camping at Kenosee Lake, meeting new friends and enjoying the great outdoors. Tony spent many hours of his retirement building bird houses in which his remains rest in one of his works of art. To God be the glory of his long life. He will be missed. Tony is survived by his wife, Mary; brother, John (Gert) Fedyk; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as many close friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Tina Fedyk; brothers, Steve (Rose) Fedyk and William in infancy; sister, Mary (Hyacinth) Berthelette. A Memorial Service took place on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan, with Doug Third officiating. Those wishing to make donations in Tony's memory may do so directly to the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation, Box 5000 - 203, 1176 Nicholson Road, Estevan, SK, S4A 2V6 or the New Estevan Regional Nursing Home, 1201 - 2nd Street, Estevan, SK, S4A 0M1. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Thank You A special thank you to all the wonderful friends and family who supported me in the loss of my husband, Tony.
