The Battlefords and District Co-op Kids Club Carnival, held Sept. 6 at the Co-op Territorial Place Mall, welcomed more than 700 Kids Club members and approximately 2,200 people attended the event. Featured activities included a dunk tank, carnival games, Beeper the Clown, music by Precision Sound, free food and drinks for all children 12 and under, bouncy houses, tractor pull, Ferris wheel, helium balloons and face painting by the Battlefords Boys and Girls Club. The dunk tan, a new venue, raised more than $1,000 for the Battlefords United Way. Cooper made an appearance as well and was given the official countdown for the dunk tank.
