There were Red Hats aplenty at O'Grady's Restaurant at the North Battleford Golf and Country Club Wednesday afternoon. The Battlefords Belles gathered celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Red Hat Society with the presentation of special pins and to proclaim Jessie Kuttai (centre), now 102 years old, as a life member of the chapter. Queen Evelyn McKay (left) said Kuttai has been a member of Battlefords Belles since 2004 when it chartered. Guests for the afternoon were the Classie Cardinals, whose Queen, Vivian Seib (left), presented Kuttai with a pin from their charter in honour of her life membership. Kuttai says "you're only as old as you think you are," and she likes 39 and a half. McKay said Kuttai is a perfect example of a Red Hatter, enjoying life, laughing a lot and loving a lot. The Red Hat Society is a global society of women that connects, supports and encourages women in their pursuit of fun, friendship, freedom, fulfillment, and fitness.Photo by Jayne Foster
