The Children’s Youth Choir is back in action for the season, meeting Tuesdays at Third Avenue United Church in North Battleford. Directed by Lisa Hornung, there are about 65 children in this year’s choir. One of the musical pieces they will work on is an arrangement written especially for them to perform with the Meota Men’s Choir. Arranger, composer, teacher and singer BJ Harris of Saskatoon provided the a cappella arrangement. Harris is an alumnus of the a cappella group Streetnix and is the director of a Saskatoon singing group, Joy of Vox. Harris has also been known to perform with the King Street Station Jazz Band of North Battleford.Photo by Jayne Foster
