YORKTON — The Royal Canadian Legion Yorkton Branch 77 is updating its Legion Book to honour those who have served.
The first edition was published in 2005. The final deadline to add names to the last version is May 31, 2025.
In partnership with the City of Yorkton, another opportunity to honour veterans is the street banner display, featuring their names and service details.
Those who served Canada or its allies in a war, on a peacekeeping mission, the Cold War or who are active service members—including RCMP personnel—are eligible to be included in the book and banner program. Eligible individuals must have served in the military, the merchant marine or in a medical or nursing corps during a conflict. Honourees should have a connection to the Yorkton District—whether they were born, raised or have lived there, are related to a current resident or are a First Nations veteran from the surrounding area.
