The Good Spirit 4H Club has had a busy year so far.
The executive committee is as follows: Taralee Bazarski, president; Grady Wolkowski, vice-president; Kiah Simpson, secretary; Eric Mcdonald, treasurer; Codee Kopelchuk, Eric MacDonald and Porter Wolkowski, club reporters; Wyatt Wolkowski and Paisley Wolkowski, district reps; Karen and Caitlin Filopowich, Amber Macdonald and Grady Wolkowski, fundraising committee; Marilyn Megan Scherban and Sheila and Amber Macdonald, events committee.
Carmen Wolkowski is the general leader, while project leaders are Meridee Kopelchuk and Melissa Higgins, beef, and Bonnie Bazarski, outdoors.
To kick off the year, we went to the corn trails and the kids had a blast getting lost and finding their way out.  There was a family wiener roast after that. November 2 was national 4-H day and in the spirt of 4-H, the members proudly wore the colour green. In connection with that we also decorated a storefront window celebrating 4-H for the month of November.
Many of the members of the club went to Harvest Showdown. They got to go swimming and have a pizza party afterwards.  The members also enjoyed taking in the rodeo on Friday night. Saturday morning they also participated in the 4-H judging at Harvest Showdown.
December was a busy month where they put in a float for the Christmas lights parade.  For their Christmas party they started by carolling at the lodge. After that they headed to the skating rink for skating and shinny, a potluck supper and homemade gift exchanges. Families also brought donations for the local food bank.
The new year started with project meetings for both beef and outdoors groups.  The beef club held its weigh day on January 27.  In February the outdoors club held a fun day of ice fishing. The club held public speaking competitions in March.
