聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 Victoria School students and staff participated in a Terry Fox Run in Kamsack on Friday, while raising funds for cancer research.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The event began with an assembly at 11 a.m. when a video about Fox and his Marathon of Hope was shown, and Michael Woollard spoke briefly about Fox鈥檚 attempt to run across Canada in spite of his having only one leg.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Joining the students were members of the staffs of Duck Mountain Ambulance Care and Affinity Credit Union as well as some parents.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The entire group went for a walk through the community, returning to the school for a hot dog lunch before preparing for the school鈥檚 open house. Funds were also raised at a special 鈥渨ishing well鈥 where people were able to make donations by dropping coins into the well.
