聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 An altered policy for false fire alarms and an expansion for the KamKids Daycare were among items to concern town council at its regular meeting on September 26.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Council agreed to establish a false alarm policy that has a flat rate of $500 charged for a fire call that has been cancelled prior to the trucks leaving the fire hall. A 鈥渇alse alarm鈥� call also constitutes a call under the current agreements, but the 鈥渇alse alarm鈥� rate will be charged.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 It was agreed to share on a 50/50 basis with KamKids Daycare the plumbing installation costs for Room 222 at the Crowstand Centre, which needs to expand its space in the building. Council accepted a quote from Hancock Plumbing of Yorkton to install a washroom in Room 222.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Council approved a request from Murielle and Jean-Guy Groleau to purchase Lot 9, Block 13, Plan X1287 (243 Hudson Bay Avenue) and granted permission to consolidate the property with Lot 10.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The administration was instructed to contact SEDA (Saskatchewan Economic Development Association) to express council鈥檚 interest in hosting a one-day economic development meeting and requested additional information. 聽
