Saskatoon police find cocaine and cash, arrest two

Two men, ages 21 and 22 from Calgary, Alta, are both charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Proceeds of Crime, Dangerous Driving, and Evading the Police.

SASKATOON - Two men are facing drug trafficking-related charges after fleeing from police Sunday night. At approximately 11:30 p.m., a patrol officer observed a vehicle suspected to be stolen travelling in the area of 22nd Street West and Avenue P North.

A traffic stop was attempted, however, the vehicle sped away to evade officers from the Saskatoon Police Service. The SPS Air Support Unit located the vehicle and observed as it continued to drive erratically and at high rates of speed into the downtown area.

Two suspects were seen exiting the vehicle on 2nd Avenue and proceeded to enter a hotel in the 200 block of 21st Street East where they were located in a room and were arrested after. Further investigation yielded cocaine and cash in both the vehicle and hotel room. 

The two men, ages 21 and 22 from Calgary, Alta, are both charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Proceeds of Crime, Dangerous Driving, and Evading the Police.
